PLAYSMART PRESCHOOL CURRICULUMS
Our Facility
We have 3 classrooms, 7,000 sq. ft of
gym space, plus 2500 sq ft of outdoor
day!  We rotate to a different room in the
gym every 20-30 minutes so your child
will stay focused and on task!

    It involves many hands on and group learning
    activities with monthly themes that cover:
  • numbers
  • letters
  • colors
  • shapes
  • science
  • handwriting

    Each lesson of this curriculum includes activities
    that teach:
  • following directions
  • listening skills
  • staying on task
working with kids.  They provide a variety of materials and resources for your children to explore,
manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.  They are here to observe
and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.

They will meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs,
determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and
development.

The preschool teachers at K2 Academy are in charge of the supervision, safety and education of
their students. They must follow the curriculum based upon the foundations of early childhood
development, emphasizing language, motor skills and relationship building.

At K2 we believe our preschool teachers have strong leadership, planning and organizational
abilities. They also have excellent communication skills, extensive knowledge about childcare and
child development and are trustworthy, friendly and patient.
P R E S C H O O L    I N F O
    We incorporate the Patti Komara, Tumblebear
    Curriculum for the fitness portion of
    Preschool.  

    This curriculum teaches:
  • basic gross motor skills
  • fine motor skills
  • nutrition
  • fundamental gymnastics skills
  • music movement

    activities that teach:
  • following directions
  • taking turns
  • listening skills
