Camp is Here!

Last week  kicked off the first week of our summer camp program, and boy was it a great one! Our campers were able to delve into their imagination and creativity through crafts and plenty of gym time.

On Monday the campers got to enjoy our indoor mountain inflatable, Tuesday our 3rd and 4th graders participated in the Be a Buddy Campaign where they visit and mentor a preschool class to help with reading books and a craft. Although Wednesday was a rainy day, that did not keep our campers from having a great time! They stayed indoors building foam forts in our gym, playing balloon volleyball, learned team building through various games and much more. On Thursday our STEAM activity was building bridges out of Duct Tape and glow sticks. Lila, one of our Olympic Village campers, said that she loved being challenged in the activity and felt proud of her finished product. We ended the week with a field trip to Willow Lanes where campers had the opportunity to bowl with their friends.

“This week was so exciting, the campers were able to spend lots of time in the gym, plus we have plenty of activities that allow our campers to use their imagination,” says one of our fantastic teachers Chandler Jones.” I love that we have the opportunity to interact with our campers and give them the best camp experience we possibly can.” This week has set our campers expectations for what the rest of this summer has in store, and they are excited to see what the next week has to offer.
