SMS Messaging Terms & Privacy Policy

This page describes the text-message (SMS) program operated by K2 Academy and Explorers Learning Center ("we," "us," "our"), how families consent to receive messages, and how we handle the mobile information you provide.


1. Our SMS program

We send text messages to parents and guardians who have registered a child at K2 Academy or Explorers Learning Center and have opted in to text messaging. Messages include account and enrollment notifications (such as trial-class reminders and welcome information) and occasional marketing messages about our programs, camps, and events.


2. How you opt in

Consent is collected during online registration on our registration portal, reached from k2academy.com/register. On the contact step, after entering a phone number, you may check the "Receive Texts?" box, which is unchecked by default. Checking it displays this disclosure:

We only send text messages to numbers whose owner has actively opted in this way. We never purchase, rent, or send to phone numbers obtained from third parties.


3. Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies based on your child's enrollment activity. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.


4. How to opt out or get help

You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop sending texts. To resubscribe, reply START. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the details below.


5. Mobile information and third parties

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We may share data with service providers strictly to help us deliver the messaging service (for example, our messaging platform provider), and only to the extent needed to operate the program.


6. Information we collect

For the SMS program we collect the mobile phone number you provide and your consent status. We use this information solely to send the messages described above and to honor opt-out requests.


7. SMS terms of use

  • By opting in, you confirm you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number provided and are at least 18 years old.
  • Program: K2 Academy & Explorers Learning Center account notifications and marketing messages.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
  • Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
