Explorer’s Learning Center at K2

June 4th, 2024

As the current school year winds down and we start anticipating summer fun, we are excited to share some updates about the future of our preschool and what you and your children can look forward to next year.

First and foremost, we are thrilled to announce that our preschool will have a new name: Explorer’s Learning Center at K2. Until now, the preschool has been referred to as K2 or K2 Campus, which has led to confusion about our licensing and educational approach. We wanted a name that clearly reflects our fully-licensed preschool, before/after school care, and summer programming, all centered around play, guided exploration, and school-readiness. We believe the new name embodies our vision and values and clarifies our purpose to our community.

In addition to the new name and look, our center is buzzing with enhancements designed to enrich your child’s learning experience. What else is new at Explorer’s Learning Center?
1. Infant Room: Beginning this August, we will open a brand-new Infant Room (6 months) designed to nurture and develop our littlest learners from the earliest stages.
2. Exceptional Teaching Team: We have expanded our team with new educators who are passionate about aligning children’s activities with kindergarten readiness, as well as deepening their engagement with sciences, arts, and music.
3. Texas Rising Stars Collaboration: We are proud to announce our partnership with Texas Rising Stars, aiming to enhance our curriculum, professional development for teachers, and support for parents, aligning with our Reggio-inspired philosophy of supporting holistic child development through explorative learning and play.
4. Enhanced Feedback and Growth Support: Starting from the 2024-2025 school year, all Explorer families will receive regular developmental, education, and enrichment assessments and reports for your child, providing even more insights and support as your child grows and develops.
5. Expanded After-School Options: We are expanding our after-school program to accommodate more schools in the area, providing more education options and convenience.
6. New Extracurricular Activities: We are introducing new activities in music, art, and after-school tutoring to enrich our students’ educational journey.

What can you expect at Explorer’s?
– The same incredible Administrative Team of Teresa, Rosa, and Alicia.
– Play and exploration at the center of our educational and development approach.
– Continued investments in our facility and our Team.
– A safe, supportive, and loving environment you’ve come to know and trust.

We’re excited about these changes and look forward to sharing more updates with you soon. Please feel free to contact the school or visit us to learn more about all these improvements. We are confident that you will see the positive impact of these changes on your child’s experience at Explorer’s Learning Center. We are committed to providing a nurturing, engaging, and enriching educational experience for your child!
